Way to go, XC Bears! They participated in the Sherwood 5K Run this weekend! Our Student athletes represented the school well! Nathan Lam placed second, and Hugo Alamilla placed third in the mens 18 and under division! Matti Kohler placed first, and Ava Hendrickson placed third in the ladies 18 and under division! All of our runners ran personal best times this weekend!

In honor of High School Voter Registration Week, Pulaski County Government hosted a voter registration drive at SYLVAN HILLS HIGH. Thirty Bear Seniors (who will be 18 by Nov. 5) registered to fulfill their civic duty. Thanks to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and our Teen Court students for helping with the registration drive!

We're getting pumped up for the Special Olympics in the Sylvan Hills feeder pattern! Last week, Oakbrooke and Sylvan Hills High reps joined several others at the Special Olympics Area 5 Kick-Off meeting. Students will participate in bowling this Fall and Track & Field in the Spring. Make sure to keep an eye out for the great things these guys accomplish.
