In honor of High School Voter Registration Week, Pulaski County Government hosted a voter registration drive at SYLVAN HILLS HIGH. Thirty Bear Seniors (who will be 18 by Nov. 5) registered to fulfill their civic duty. Thanks to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and our Teen Court students for helping with the registration drive!

Our Life and Fitness Nutrition students enjoy weekly yoga classes with certified trainers Amy Langston & Ebony Thompson. Thank you to special guest TSgt Kierra Mayo, Air National Guard, who exercised with us & distributed water bottles and towels to the students.

Sylvan Hills Academy of Business visited Arkansas Children’s Hospital on Wednesday to tour the various business areas within the hospital. Both students and staff enjoyed learning about all the job opportunities. Special thanks to the tour guides and their hospitality!

We're getting pumped up for the Special Olympics in the Sylvan Hills feeder pattern! Last week, Oakbrooke and Sylvan Hills High reps joined several others at the Special Olympics Area 5 Kick-Off meeting. Students will participate in bowling this Fall and Track & Field in the Spring. Make sure to keep an eye out for the great things these guys accomplish.
