During the school year, MILLS UNIVERSITY STUDIES HIGH has the opportunity for two students to represent our school and student body at the monthly Board of Education meetings. Last night, sophomore Brandon Holt represented our school at the February meeting. We're so thankful for his hard work and willingness to represent the Comets. Way to go, Brandon!

On Monday, several staff gathered for a small "welcome party" for our new principal, Damian Patterson. It was a chance for the staff to express appreciation for his enthusiasm to join the Comet family. We're excited to see what the rest of this year has in store under his leadership!

Auditions were held for the All-State Music Ensembles last Friday (Feb. 2) and Saturday (Feb. 3). Congratulations to our Mills University Studies High music students who were selected by competitive audition to the Arkansas All-State Music Ensembles. They will attend a conference in Hot Springs February 15 - 17 and perform a concert on Sunday, Feb. 17 at the Hot Springs Convention Center. Congrats, Comets!
Mills University Studies High School will host a community meeting in regards to the next steps for our "Building for the Future" construction campaign. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 13 at 5 p.m. The meeting will be held at the PCSSD central office in the boardroom (just before the monthly board meeting will take place). All Mills community members are invited.
