Pulaski county's sheriff department is on the scene and reports that the threat is minimal currently at MUSHS. Students will resume classes and proceed with lunch. However, we ask that no one come up to the school until we have the 100% all clear from PCSO.
Mills University Studies High is currently on lockdown due to a threat found on social media. Students and staff are in their safe designated areas. Because we are on lockdown, no one is allowed to come up to the building at this time. We are working with Pulaski County Sheriff's Department on the matter. On Monday, several staff gathered for a small "welcome party" for our new principal, Damian Patterson. It was a chance for the staff to express appreciation for his enthusiasm to join the Comet family. We're excited to see what the rest of this year has in store under his leadership!
During the school year, MILLS UNIVERSITY STUDIES HIGH has the opportunity for two students to represent our school and student body at the monthly Board of Education meetings. Last night, sophomore Brandon Holt represented our school at the February meeting. We're so thankful for his hard work and willingness to represent the Comets. Way to go, Brandon!
