The learning never stops in the galaxy!! Shout out to our very own coach Michael Flowers for his recent professional development work with the Pathways to Progress and 1 Million Teachers of Color. Coach Flowers served as a panelist and table facilitator at the event which was recently held at the Clinton Presidential Library. Coach Flowers talked about the current state of teaching in Arkansas using data and perspectives of current educators. He also talked about how PCSSD is working to retain teachers. This past school year, Coach Flowers was a Senior Fellow for Teach Plus Arkansas. His team produced a memo about retaining African American teachers to lawmakers, principals, and school district stakeholders.
