February is Black History Month. Fatima Robinson is one of the most popular hip-hop and pop music choreographers in the world. Her work has been featured in music videos and movies. Robinson was born in Little Rock and inducted into the Arkansas Black hall of Fame in 2004.

February is Black History Month. Ozell Sutton was a leader in the civil rights movement and was present at Central High, the march at Selma, and with Martin Luther King Jr. when he was murdered. Sutton was born in Gould and inducted into the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame in 2001.

2nd Annual Winter Ball and Senior VIP Dance, Friday, February 21, 2020 @ 7 pm. ALL Mills High students are invited. Seniors are VIP which means free admission and buffet. general admission is $5 and VIP admission is $10 which includes a buffet. Tickets will be sold at the door.

February is Black History Month. George Howard Jr. was the first African American to be appointed to the Supreme Court of Arkansas and numerous other Arkansas judicial posts. Howard was born in Pine Bluff and inducted into the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame in 1994.

February is Black History Month. Edith Jones was the first African American to graduate from the University of Arkansas Medical School. The Edith Irby Jones M.D. Health Care Center was named for her. She was born in Conway and inducted to the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame in 2002

February is Black History Month. Debbye Turner Bell was crowned Miss America 1990. Bell grew up in Jonesboro and in 1998 was named a Distinguished Alumna of Arkansas State University. Bell was inducted into the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame in 1994.

February is Black History Month. Grover Evans was the first African American to swim on the U.S. Paralympic Team in Barcelona in 1992. He set five world records & won 69 national championships. Evans was born in Jonesboro & inducted into the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame in 1996.

February is Black History Month. Lottie Lee Holt Shackelford became the first female mayor of Little Rock. In 1998, Shackelford founded the Women's Foundation of Arkansas. She was born in Little Rock and inducted into the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame in 1993.

Parents/Guardians Valentine’s gifts/deliveries (balloons or flowers) are accepted at the school for students but they are not allowed in the classrooms/cafeteria/gyms. They will be held in the front office until the end of the day.

February is Black History Month. Sidney Moncrief played basketball for University of Arkansas and led them to the Final Four in '78. He was a first round draft pick and five time All-Star. Moncrief was born in Little Rock and inducted into the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame in 2001.
