We want to give a BIG congratulations to senior Milan McDaniel who was just notified he has been awarded a $36,000 academic scholarship to Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. Milan is our first AVID senior who has been offered a scholarship so far this year, but he will not be the last! We are so proud of him and this accomplishment!

College Fair Day is coming! The district-wide PCSSD College Fair will be held on Tuesday, October 8th. We encourage our 11th and 12th grade students, as well as any AVID students, to register by scanning the QR code. Students also need to pick up a permission slip from the counselor's office since we will be bussing the students to Sylvan Hills HS for the event. The signed permission slips are due back by Friday, September 27. If you have any questions, please call or email the school counselors.
Fall pictures are soon! Thursday, October 3rd will be school picture day for all students in grades 9, 10, and 11. Bring your best smile!
Next week is High School Voter Registration Week and your chance to fulfill your civic duty. In partnership with Pulaski County Government, MILLS UNIVERSITY STUDIES HIGH is hosting a voter registration drive on September 24 & 26. If you are 18 years old (on or before election day), here's your chance to help shape your future and register to vote!
Now that school is in full swing, PCSSD high school students are back as active participants in our school board meetings. Believe it or not - interim grade reports are coming out soon! Paper copies of the interim reports will be sent home with students on Friday, September 20th. Remember you can always access grades through the Home Access Center (HAC) any time you would like. If you need login information for HAC, please contact the school and ask for the counseling center.

PSAT Sign -Up
Have you heard of National Merit Finalists or Semi-Finalists? Do you know how to become one? You take the PSAT!
Students in grades 9th, 10th, and 11th can now sign up to take the PSAT that will be administered on October 29. There is a limit of 200 students that will be able to participate, so sign-up today! The link for signing up can be found in the Comet Corner of Schoology.
