Little Rock, Ark. -- Cadets from Mills University Studies High School Junior Reserve Officer’s Training Corps (JROTC), recently completed JROTC Cadet Leadership Challenge Camp held at Camp Joe T. Robinson Maneuver Training Center, North Little Rock, AR, June 6-10, 2022.
The Mills University Studies High School Army JROTC Comet Battalion had seven Cadets participating this year. The Cadets from Mills were, Cadet Private First Class Keshun Allison, Cadet Private First Class Delaney Dugger, Cadet Private First Class London Hoffman, Cadet Private First Class Tanazjah Hyshaw, Cadet Private First Class Audreana Luckey, Cadet Private First Class Makiya Molden, and Cadet Private First Class Taylor Molden.
Over 250 plus cadets from 22 of the 25 Arkansas Army JROTC School programs participated in the week- long leadership training camp. Activities at the camp included: team building, select cadet challenge physical fitness events, a new state of the art 22 station obstacle course broken in color-coded quadrants with five or six obstacles in each, land navigation, survival skills, leadership reaction course, fishing, water safety, 40-foot rappelling tower, platoon chant
competition and best platoon competition.
The camp was a great success due to the motivated cadet’s participation, knowledgeable JROTC Cadre Instructors and logistics support from Arkansas Army National Guard.
The Mills University Studies High School Army JROTC Program Instructors are Lt. Colonel (Retired) Paul Brown and Master Sergeant (Retired) Timothy Dunn.
