PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. -- The Pulaski County Special School District is placing new leadership at Mills University Studies High School for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year. Damian Patterson will take over as principal of the high school effective January 30, 2024.
“[Damian] Patterson is a charismatic leader who is student-centered with high expectations for students and staff,” said Dr. Charles McNulty, superintendent of PCSSD. “ His visibility and ability to connect with all stakeholders will be a game-changer for our students and Mills University Studies High School.”
Patterson comes to Mills University Studies High after serving as assistant principal at Joe T. Robinson High School for the past two years. Previously, Patterson served as assistant principal at several PCSSD schools since 2013 including Mills Middle, Mills University Studies High and Maumelle Middle.
“I am excited for the opportunity to step in and lead Mills University High School into the next phase,” said Damian Patterson. “I’m looking forward to being a high-achieving school in PCSSD.”
