Mr. Stephens of SYLVAN HILLS MIDDLE shared a warm and fuzzy favorite thing from first semester. “The students had a coat drive to collect new or gently worn coats. They distributed the coats among PCSSD elementary schools to provide coats for kids in need.” #pcssdproud #serveall

Students in Ms. Hemphill’s 6th-grade ELA class recently took a creative & delicious approach to argumentative writing. The class explored the art of persuasion by debating the ultimate breakfast battle: Pancakes vs. Waffles. Students crafted detailed arguments for their preferred breakfast choice, learning to structure essays with strong introductions, solid reasoning, evidence and rebuttals

These students visited Willow Grove Retirement Center, where they connected with residents by learning about their childhoods, sharing stories, and spreading joy. Not stopping there, they even sang and danced their way into everyone’s hearts! 🎶💃
After making some new friends, they capped off their day with a well-deserved pizza party hosted by the generous team at US Pizza! 🍕

Today’s SHMS Christmas Potluck was the PERFECT way to spread holiday cheer and bring our school family together! From mouthwatering dishes to the warmest smiles, the spirit of the season was truly alive. ❤️❄️
The food? Phenomenal. From cheesy casseroles to decadent desserts, everyone brought their A-game. (Seriously, some of you could moonlight as chefs!) 🍽️👏 And let’s talk about the vibe—it felt like a cozy holiday movie, complete with laughter, good conversations, and that magical feeling only the holidays can bring.
