February is Black History Month. Samuel Massie Jr. was a chemist and worked on the Manhattan Project during WWII. His research led to medications to treat malaria, meningitis and more. He was born in North Little Rock and inducted into the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame in 1998.

PCSSD is aware of a bomb threat made on a bathroom stall inside Joe T. Robinson High School. The school has been evacuated and local law enforcement are investigating the threat. We will update once the search is complete.

February is Black History Month. Vice Admiral Edward Moore Jr. was the highest ranking African American in the Navy at the time of his retirement. Moore's family moved to Little Rock while he was in high school. He was inducted into the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame in 1999.

Robinson High School will host a cheer clinic for grades K-6 on Saturday, Feb. 15 from 9am - 12pm. $30 per cheerleader includes a t-shirt. Students will perform on Feb. 21 during halftime of the basketball games. Contact Coach Brucks for details: abrucks1263@pcssd.org

Eli Keller has two kids who both attend PCSSD schools. His fiancée, Mary, has 3 kids. When he's not chasing around the kids, Eli volunteers for the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Arkansas.
