Today is D-Day. June 6, 1944, on the beaches of Normandy, 156,000 American, British, and Canadian forces landed on 5 beaches, stretching 50 miles to open a second front against Nazi Germany. Allied troops lost 4,000 soldiers that day.

Beginning Monday, PCSSD will operate under summer hours. This means offices are open 7 am-5:30 pm Monday-Thursday. Exceptions are the weeks of Juneteenth & Independence Day which include closures on Monday & a normal 8 am-4:30 pm Tuesday-Friday. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence


Pine Forest Elementary hosted a Career Fair for K-5 students on May 17. Our students loved having the chance to speak with representatives from various career pathways. Thank you to all of our volunteers and Laura Smith for a successful event.








Congratulations to Kaitlyn Webb, the 2022-2023 Principal’s Award recipient! She was recognized at the recent 5th grade Middle School Ceremony. The principal's award goes to one student whose effort, academic excellence, leadership skills, and character stands out above the norm. The recipient also must have "exceeding" in Math, Reading, Science, and English on the 4th grade ACT Aspire Test and maintain maintain a 4.0 GPA in 3rd - 5th grade.
Kaitlyn displayed excellent character to students and staff during her time at Pine Forest Elementary!

I’m happy to inform you that Right At School, Pine Forest Elementary's new provider of After School programs, has opened registration for fall 2023.
We expect demand for RAS programs to be high this year, so we encourage families to register by May 31 to save their child’s spot for the entire 2023-24 school year.

Right At School will cover 100% of the winning student’s after school care until they age out of RAS programs. Special thanks to the Maumelle High volleyball team for coming out and installing a volleyball net at our school last week!
