Due to the threats at SYLVAN HILLS HIGH SCHOOL, PCSSD and Sherwood PD will have added security at SYLVAN HILLS ELEMENTARY as a precaution. No threat was ever made against this school. This is just a safety measure due to its proximity to the main campus.

UPDATE as of 9:20pm (2/12/20) - In our continued cooperation with law enforcement, SYLVAN HILLS HIGH SCHOOL will have another AMI day tomorrow - Thurs., Feb. 13 - as we continue narrow the investigation. Safety and security for our students and staff will be always a top concern.

Thanks to the PCSSD IT department, Sherwood PD and other law enforcement we significantly narrowed the source of the threat. We feel it is safe to host the basketball games tonight and school tomorrow. Additional security will be present tonight and tomorrow at school.

PCSSD closed Sylvan Hills HS (main) today due to a viable threat that specifically identified staff at the school. The threat was isolated to a specific area which is why only the main campus was closed. We're working with local law enforcement, state police and FBI to resolve.
