NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — PCSSD is excited to announce pieces by students and teachers from Joe T. Robinson and Maumelle High will be featured in The Creative Collective III. This exhibition, presented by Thea Foundation, is a way to showcase the work inspired by Arts Reconstruction, a professional development program designed to teach transformative artistic skills.
The exhibition opens April 10, 2025 at 5:00 pm at the Thea Gallery in the Argenta Arts District and will run through May 22, 2025. The public is invited to explore the dynamic mix of 2-D and 3-D artworks Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, with special extended hours during the Argenta Arts District Third Friday Art Walks on April 18 and May 16 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
The PCSSD pieces will join over 80 works from educators and young artists across central Arkansas. Each work demonstrates creativity, collaboration, and the power of arts education.
About Thea Foundation
Thea Foundation’s mission is to advocate the importance of the Arts in the development of our youth. Three programs are implemented statewide to support this mission—Thea Scholarships, Art Closet and Arts Reconstruction. Since 2002, Thea Foundation has awarded more than $3.3 million in scholarships to Arkansas students and provided more than $2.3 million in art supplies and creative materials to underfunded schools through our Art Closet program. In addition, Arts Reconstruction is our focused effort to help teachers receive professional development and supplies to enable a better platform to advance in their own careers and schools. Our collective aim is to enrich young minds through the power of the Arts. Named for the daughter of Paul and Linda Leopoulos, Thea Foundation carries on the legacy of Thea Kay Leopoulos, who thrived academically, socially and emotionally thanks to her artistic pursuits.
