3M visit

PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. - The 3M Safety Roadshow stopped at two schools in Pulaski County Special School District the week earlier this month. Students at Mills University Studies High (MUSHS) and Joe T. Robinson High (RHS) had the chance to explore the 3M mobile training center right before spring break.

The 3M Safety Roadshow offers hands-on safety training and PPE demonstrations as 3M experts led training sessions, ensuring top-notch education. Inside the mobile classroom, students paired in small groups of 4-5 for a lesson in quality assurance and efficiency.

The visits were part of an emerging partnership between 3M and the Academies of Central Arkansas. MUSHS and RHS both include academies and pathways with skill trades that align with the 3M mission. As part of the roadshow visit, 3M presented a check for $1119,000 to PCSSD to encourage future growth in this area. $100,000 for strategic investments inside the school district which will be split evenly between MUSHS and RHS. An additional $19,000 will go to College Station Elementary ($15,000 from the 3M Little Rock site budget “hometown giving” and $4,000 from 3Mgives for a DonorsChoose classroom project.
