Welcome! I'm Mrs. Carr, and I am excited to serve Maumelle Middle as Principal. As a lifelong learner, I constantly seek opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills. I hold a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University-Texarkana and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from John Brown University. This summer, I will proudly complete my Education Specialist (EdS) degree from the University of Central Arkansas.
My journey in education began in 2011 after a successful 15-year career in Marketing and Finance. Since then, I've had the privilege of serving in nearly every educational capacity. I've taught Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) and 5th Grade Science, worked as an Instructional Coach/Facilitator, and served as an Assistant Principal in various schools across Texas and briefly in Arkansas.
I am thrilled to be back in my home state, working alongside you to make a difference in students' lives. My diverse experiences have equipped me with a unique perspective and a deep understanding of the challenges and rewards of education.
I am enthusiastic about our future and eager to continue my journey as an educator. I am dedicated to empowering our staff and ensuring success for every student. I can't wait to see what we can achieve together!
