Mighty Red Jacket Family, welcome to the 2024 - 2025 school year!

I am excited to enter my 30th year of education in PCSSD as well as another year of learning and growing on the hill. As we continue our mission of engaging scholars in a college and/or career ready learning environment, we will also work to increase an intrinsic motivation to achieve more in each scholar. It is my firm belief that although college is not for everyone, a quality education is; therefore, I pledge to work hard everyday to teach, coach and mentor your child to his/her greatest potential. Last year, we started working on the concept of being a school family and will continue that work this school year as we build relationships that include both empathy and sympathy for others. Get ready to get involved, because we can't do this work of heart without our parents and community leaders. This is OUR year!!!!

Working with youth has always been a passion of mine! Educators have the best job in the world because we are afforded the opportunity to help mold future technicians, scientists, artists, athletes, pilots, architects, businessmen -- every profession in the world -- by pouring our best into them and helping them see their own potential and then rise to it. We even influence some to become educators! It is my desire as a school administrator to be an advocate for teachers, students, and families in order to provide the best possible educational experience for our students. It truly takes a village to raise our children!

I have had the privilege of working in PCSSD for 26 years, with 13 of those years at Crystal Hill Elementary—a place that feels like home. I am passionate about helping students grow into who they are meant to be and mentoring teachers to reach their full potential. Building strong relationships with students and families is at the heart of what I do because when we work together, we create a supportive, nurturing environment where every child can thrive. I believe in setting high expectations, encouraging perseverance, and celebrating each success along the way. I look forward to another incredible season of learning, growing, and building lasting connections with our students and families!
